Rocco Milano helped shape the classic cocktail movement in Dallas with the revival of the bar program at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. Currently, Milano champions the craft cocktail effort as Beverage Director at Private|Social in Uptown Dallas. During his time at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, he was given creative freedom to push the envelope, and garnered much acclaim for reviving the bar menu with a return to classically mixed cocktails. In 2011, Milano left The Mansion to serve as the Beverage Director at Private|Social. Given complete reign of the bar, Milano has built a program that includes innovative drinks crafted with house-made bitters, infused premium spirits, fresh ingredients, cocktails on tap and a leading ice program. Within just six weeks of opening, Milano’s cocktail lineup landed Private|Social on the Dallas Morning News’ list “Best in DFW: 10 Great Places to Lift a Glass.” In addition to heading the bar program at Private|Social, Milano has completed the Level 1 Coursework for the Court of Master Sommeliers and serves as Education Director for the North Texas Chapter of the U.S. Bartenders Guild.
